I have always been a visual thinker and I started my career as a photo editor and commissioner.

I've worked with photographers around the world to tell editorial news stories—on the wires at Reuters, on breaking news at The Independent and Independent on Sunday, at the New Statesman, as Deputy Photo Editor for the FT Weekend Magazine, and most recently with Bloomberg News across EMEA.

Whether I'm commissioning a photographer in a conflict zone or editing a portrait for a magazine feature, my job is always the same: find the image that holds the story and make it speak.
